why would one mine memorycoins?

Hi all, I'm pretty new to reddit and memorycoin. i've been mining bitcoins some years ago for a short amount of time, and started mining memorycoins only recently (a couple of days ago) on a pool. I would like to invest on some appropriate hardware but looking at the memorycoin monetary trend and some of the replies here and there it seems this coin is soon-to-be dead.
Is it worth mining memorycoins? Why would one still mine memorycoin if some says it's going to die soon?
Thanks

Do You Have A Fast CPU? You Could Be Getting $5 in BTC Every Day For Mining - No ID Required

It's pretty simple - by mining one of the CPU Altcoins, you generate a steady stream of coins, which you can trade for Bitcoin.
The best coin to mine at the moment with a fast modern CPU is MemoryCoin - here's the simple steps.
(Windows)
  1. Download the MemoryCoin wallet with built-in Pool Miner http://www.memorycoin.org/downloads/memorycoin-with-pool-miner.msi
  2. Menu -> Mining -> Launch Pool Miner
  3. Go to Bter.com - Trade your MemoryCoin in for BTC http://bter.com/trade/mmc_btc
You should get about $5/day in BTC with a fast CPU.
