is there any python script to generate Bitcoin addresses from multiple 64 hex private key?
I have hundreds or thousands of private keys from my old corrupt btc wallets. It has I think thousands of hex private keys which I have saved in notepad ++, each of them have been saved each per line in Notepad ++. I need script which can convert them into BTC addresses(not as WIf) and generate output as a text file with btc addresses. WalletGenerator only allows 1 at a time. I am using python27. Many Thanks
Q: how are bitcoins tracked if everytime you get a new address, a new public-private key is generated?
I'm thinking about buying bitcoin, but being a computer engineer student, bitcoin fascinates me how it works. I've wrapped my head around how the block chain works (for the most part), but I'm still trying to work out how you can get a new address for each transaction and still track your bitcoin. I'm reading this article and it's a nice description on address generation, but now I've come to my question in the title. How can this happen? My understanding before this was you keep a private key, and use the public key to do transactions, but it's a little more complicated apparently. Any help in understanding this is most appreciated!
