Bitcoin Gold a Shitcoin Vulnerable to Attack Despite $200 Million Market Cap

https://cryptoiq.co/bitcoin-gold-a-shitcoin-vulnerable-to-attack-despite-200-million-market-cap/
The War On Shitcoins Episode 1: Bitcoin Gold (BTG). The war on shitcoins is a Crypto.IQ series that targets and shoots down cryptocurrencies that are not worth investing in either due to their being scams, having serious design flaws, being centralized, or in general just being worthless copies of other cryptocurrencies. There are thousands of shitcoins that are ruining the markets, and Crypto.IQ intends to expose all of them. The crypto space needs an exorcism, and we are happy to provide it.
There are more than 2,000 cryptocurrencies listed on CoinMarketCap, and Bitcoin Gold (BTG) is near the top at number 25 with a market cap of $207 million. This would seem to indicate that Bitcoin Gold is a major cryptocurrency, but it is simply a copycat of Bitcoin with one key and debilitating difference that makes it worse than Bitcoin. Bitcoin Gold is designed to block ASIC miners, leaving only GPU miners.
The idea was that GPU miners would rally around Bitcoin Gold since GPU Bitcoin miners were disenfranchised by ASIC miners years ago. Ultimately, this decision to only allow GPUs resulted in such a low mining hash rate that Bitcoin Gold is vulnerable to 51 percent attacks, and a serious 51 percent attack has already happened once. Further, Bitcoin Gold has had centralization problems from the very beginning.
When Bitcoin Gold launched in November 2017 the developers did a massive premine of 8,000 blocks, which yielded them about 100,000 BTG. At today’s price $12 this is $1.2 million, and when BTG’s price peaked near $500, this was $50 million. This premine is unfair to other BTG miners, traders, and investors. Supposedly, the premined BTG were placed in an “endowment,” which means the developers will receive all of that money eventually, just not all at once. There is no way to verify if this is even true, however, and the excessive 97 percent BTG price crash since January 2018 might be partially due to developers dumping their coins.
A far more serious issue than the premine is BTG’s lack of network security. BTG made mining ASIC resistant by using the Equishash Proof of Work (PoW) algorithm. However, ASICs were eventually developed for Equihash since ASICs can be developed for any PoW algorithm. In May 2018 a 51 percent double spend attack occurred on the Bitcoin Gold network, and a hacker stole $18.6 million from cryptocurrency exchanges that listed BTG. This caused the developers to hard fork in order to implement a newer version of Equihash that is supposedly more ASIC resistant. Clearly, the developers did not learn their lesson that there is no ASIC-resistant PoW algorithm. If Bitcoin Gold became valuable enough, someone would produce an ASIC for it.
It is unclear if Equihash ASICs were the reason for the 51 percent attack, since an attacker could literally just rent some hash rate on a cloud mining site and successfully 51 percent attack Bitcoin Gold. Currently it only takes 1.6 MH/s of rented mining power to successfully perform a double spend attack on the Bitcoin Gold network, and this costs about $1,000 per hour if the hash rate is rented from NiceHash.
Effectively, Bitcoin Gold is not cryptographically secure. The original purpose of banning ASIC miners so that GPU miners could thrive ended up being a fatal flaw for Bitcoin Gold. It is ridiculous that major exchanges like Binance and Bitfinex still offer BTG trading. This is a true disservice to the users of these exchanges and is a risk for the exchanges themselves.
Crypto users need to educate themselves thoroughly before buying any cryptocurrency, or they could end up buying a shitcoin like Bitcoin Gold just because it has a high ranking on CoinMarketCap. BTG has already lost 97 percent of its value since January 2018, and there is strong potential for it to become completely worthless once someone decides to rent some hash power and perform a vicious 51 percent attack.

Why Litecoin is Set to Skyrocket

*TL;DR Miner migration to litecoin, litecoin's similarity to proven bitcoin, relatively low market cap, Mt. Gox's API's will soon support litecoin, and litecoin's utility as a very liquid form of money is set to cause litecoin's price to skyrocket. *
Read more at http://zamicol.blogspot.com/2013/04/why-i-think-litecoin-is-set-to.html
Excerpts:
Market Cap
With 333201 blocks mined, and 50 litecoins per block, there is currently 16,660,050 litecoins in circulation. The current market price of $2 USD gives Litecoin a market cap of over $33 million.
This may sound like a lot, but considering that after the “crash” of the past couple of days, Bitcoin’s market cap about $1,157 million USD with the current market price of $98 USD. If litecoin had the market cap of bitcoin, each litecoin would be worth over $69.
Granted, this may not be a fair comparison, since in litecoin’s youth it has not experienced the same proportion of inflation as it’s older brother. While bitcoin is already over its halfway mark to generating its limit of 21 million bitcoins, litecoin is much younger and has not reached the halfway point to its limit of 84 million litcoin. If we factor in that there will be four times as many litecoins as bitcoins, each one of the 84 million litecoins would still be worth over $13 if litecoin had the bitcoin’s market cap.
Litecoin Mining Difficulty
A while back, my ears perked up at the prospects of litecoin because of a new technology is set to give the market a good shaking.
As anticipated, the increase of difficulty of Bitcoin is causing traditional miners to look for more profitable outlets for their existing infrastructure. Hundreds of ASIC miners are now active, which has forced up the difficulty dramatically to an all time high of 7,673,000 with the next difficulty estimated to be near 9,000,000. News of the impending deployment of thousands more is forcing miners to rethink their allocation of existing infrastructure.
Faced with bitcoin’s increasing mining difficulty, GPU Bitcoin miners have three options:
Keep mining bitcoin at a potential loss as electricity costs become much greater than the return on mining. Turn off their miners and sell or retire their hardware. Look for more profitable applications for their existing infrastructure, such as litecoin.
This is where the power of litecoin is very apparent. Due to it’s use of the memory intense scrypt algorithm, dedicated litecoin hardware like ASIC miners are not anticipated in the near future, giving GPU miners a window of opportunity for profit. Switching their GPU hardware from bitcoin to litecoin is only a matter of installing a new mining application and can be done with little configuration. The logical choice for most bitcoin miners will be to move their power to the litecoin network.
In the short time I have been litecoin mining, I have seen the difficulty rise over 600%, meaning that there is six times more computing power dedicated to litecoin in only the past few months. This indicates that many miners have already made the realization that bitcoin offers them a bleak future and made the switch to litecoin. As these miners transition their hardware, litecoin’s mind share will increase, and it shouldn’t be a quickly passing event. Miners can take confidence in litecoin knowing that their infrastructure will be valuable for the foreseeable future, and this confidence is bound to poor over into the market price of litecoin.
As an early bitcoin miner, I remember the supply of ATI 5870’s graphic cards quickly becoming unavailable as individuals bought up supply for use in bitcoin mining. This infrastructure still exists and it will not go to waste.

3 Types of Bitcoin Mining Hardware

There are two options for mining Bitcoin: cloud mining and hardware mining. While cloud mining has to do with mining remotely without physical mining equipment, hardware mining comes with the full package. Most people prefer to set up a Bitcoin miner as it is more profitable than cloud mining in some cases. If you want to set up your Bitcoin miner, you need to know that it is expensive and upgraded versions are made now and then.
Types of Bitcoin Mining Hardware
  1. CPU/GPU Bitcoin Miners
Although this was the first type of Bitcoin mining hardware accepted into the mainstream, it is now considered the least powerful. You’d be using the CPU of your computer to mine Bitcoins. By adding GPU hardware to your computer, you will be able to enhance the hash rate. However, the Bitcoin mining difficulty has increased so much that people can hardly make any profit for CPU/GPU mining.
  1. FPGA Bitcoin Miners
FPGA stands for Field Programmable Gate Array. It is a circuit designed for configuration after building. This allows hardware manufacturer to buy chips in volumes and customize the chips for Bitcoin miningbefore installing them into their equipment. The performance of this hardware is far better than that of CPUs and GPUs.
  1. ASIC Bitcoin Miners
Of the three types of Bitcoin miners, ASIC is the best. ASIC stands for Application Specific Integrated Circuits. They are designed specifically for the sole purpose of mining Bitcoins. They are extremely fast and consume relatively low power compared to the others. Although they are expensive, the miming speed of these miners is mind-blowing

Should a Student get into BTC Mining?

Hey Bitcoin Miners, I'm thinking about starting mining bitcoin since my electricity is included in my Student Apartment Rent and I cant find anything on my contract any minimum for electricity usage. I am already paying an overpriced rent so I dont feel bad for profiting off it. I'll be staying here for about 3-4 years so I want my Mining Rig to be paid off in less than a year if possible. Do you think I should get into BTC Mining? I could invest a little over 1000$ for the rig, any recommendations?

A reminder why RandomX and commodity hardware mining is so important

Authorities in Venezuela will "supervise both the creation and importation of mining equipment" and force miners to use only national mining pool, source. Governments can control ASIC mining, but they can't control CPU or GPU mining to the same extent.

Newbie Question: How do I get started with mining?

I know I should probably wait for a referral link, but I've already read a lot about mining and I have a few questions. I would like to know some more about the bitcoin mining process, mainly about the profitability of it. What are the best settings for a CPU, GPU, and ASIC? Are there ways to get some mining bitcoins without paying for mining hardware? I know there are "miners" like cgminer, but what's an alternative? Thanks!

I have been working hard on the front-end of my pool for the past couple of months. Anyone who saw v1.0 will be shocked to see the progress it's made. It now has a fantastic front-end with detailed charts, graphs, and user stats, all in a sleek Bootstrap 4.0 layout.
Miners....come join us at https://Luckyblocks.ninja
I wanted to offer support for all Algo's, and initially, I did. But after talking with DigiByte developers, and taking their advice this was changed to support only Scrypt and SHA256D. Until ProgPOW is implemented GPU mining is pointless, so this ultimately is why I chose Scrypt and SHA256D.
Another feature of the pool is BTC and LTC Solo Mining for any of you guys out there that have some gear that's not profitable to mine with anymore and just want to play the blockchain lottery. Wouldn't it be nice to wake up with 6.25 Bitcoin in your wallet one morning?
General Pool Features are:
  • Asic-Boost Supported
  • Ultra-efficient handcrafted code
  • Transaction fees paid to miners
  • VarDiff & Static Diff Supported
  • Anonymous mining to your wallet
  • Solo Mining
  • No withdraw fees
  • No registration
  • No pool wallets

Why Ethereum Mining?

1. High market capitalization, second to bitcoin only
Ethereum is the most dynamic blockchain platform in the world, and Ether is the second largest cryptocurrency in the world by market capitalization. There are around 1,200,000 transactions processed per day on this platform. Numbers explain everything.
https://preview.redd.it/w57fpy6njvp51.png?width=398&format=png&auto=webp&s=dbac1c20eaa78a503b71c8f667b12293f9079208
2. Dapps on Ethereum outnumbers any other blockchain platform
Not only just a digital currency or commodity, ethereum also keeps its original motivation to be a global computing platform that allows users to deploy smart contract on it. As a kind of smart contract programmed for a specific use, there are about 2 ,000 decentralized applications, or dapps, deployed on ethereum by this June, which is more than the total numbers of dapps deployed on any other general purpose blockchain platform in the world combined.

3. Considerable payback
ETH mining profit basically consists of two parts: the value of the coins and the transaction commission. Once you mined a block, you will not only get the coins, but also the commission to prove the transactions that will be processed in the network. Because of the network congestion brought up by DeFi application ‘s popularity, transaction commission contributes much to the mining profit recently.
(Averages on 17th September,2020:
Ether Price: $389.49
Gas Price: 538 Gwei
Gas Limit:12,472,107
*Commission=538*12472107=6,709,993,566Gwei≈6.71ETH)
https://preview.redd.it/exsbhw4ujvp51.png?width=399&format=png&auto=webp&s=b781f5ab2bac90304fd3be021def54501ba7252b

Below is a profitability ranking of ASIC miners for some mainstream crypto coins when Gas price is around 60~70Gwei and coin price is about $360. I couldn’t find a ranking that could include all AISIC miners and GPU miners, but it’s enough to show that ETH mining is much more profitable than others. Even though when Gas price and coin price is not very high, the revenue of ETH mining still beats other mainstream cryptocurrencies.
https://preview.redd.it/ht2j1evvjvp51.png?width=557&format=png&auto=webp&s=9b415f227b9c0a00cf7af9682eea85ef9b85e6d8
4. Lower Network Difficulty
Compare to bitcoin network hash rate, Ethereum network hash rate is only 244.14TH/s; Less network hash rate means less difficulty, furtherly means that there will be more chance to mine a block and get coins. Nowadays, for bitcoin mining, the possibility to mine a block solo is almost zero, but for ETH mining it is still possible. In my opinion it is the golden time for ETH mining.

Whether you are a new bird or an experienced senior in this field, ETH mining is the best choice in 2020.

Trying to decide weather or not to get a Z11, S19 or S9. Opinions wanted.

Edit I ment type Z11 S17 or A9 (freaking autocorrect)
I'm looking to buy a profitable ASIC with a $2000 budget. And I'm looking for you reddits knowledge and experience to make sure I'm going down the right path.
So far I'm leaning on purchasing a Antminer Z11. The price is reasonable and the profitability looks good.
Another choice is the infosillicon A9. They are probably the cheapest miner that turns a profit, and the low wattage consumption is attractive so I don't have to upscale my electrical right away. If I chose the A9 I would buy 2 or more.
Third choice is the s17. It's more expensive and less profitable but it mines bitcoin. And I wonder if there's any unforeseen advantage of mining bitcoin should it moon shot.
GPU's I have a GPU rig running right now, and I plan on adding to it, but really want to dive deeper into ASIC mining right now.
Thoughts?

Where can I get help for 3080?

My 3080 was running fine and randomly mid game I lost half my frames and gpu was hot. Basically I found out it runs at full frequency doing nothing. just on desktop basically now it is stuck at full power but nothing is using it. I don't wanna rma because I asked and they said turnaround time is around 1-2 months, and no thanks. it is stuck at 9501 on memory and 1740 for core. I have a msi 3x oc 3080 ventus. pictures. I really need some help. I have been trying to solve this problem for 4 days ongoing. I reset windows 4 times, thought it was a bitcoin miner virus. I couldn't find anything with any virus or rootscanners and I doubt its a virus since resetting my windows 4 times and clearing my ssds wouldnt let it survive. Also it goes back to normal frequency when resetting windows but comes back after like 5 minutes. during those 5 minutes the frequency memory and volts are normal but whenever I open any 3d application, chrome, any program. it shoots up to max load for one second and then goes back to normal. then later it just stays at full load infinitly. please someone help. The only thing in task manager that uses .5 usage of gpu is desktop windows manager, system, and client server runtime process

EOS, and COMP have been doing really well, so they might be worth keeping. This is just a really good promotion, probably one of the better i’ve see. Its easy AF, quick, and the reward is really good. If you don’t know anything about crypto, i highly suggest you learn. It’s still very early and its growing super quick. cryptocurrency has gained a ton of attention in the past couple years and is actually starting to become a real actual currencies (already is, but according to our governments) many different types of crypto is starting to become accepted in a bunch of stores, realtors are taking as payment for a house, and colleges are even accepting as tuition. I started researching bitcoin a short amount of time after Satoshi Nakamoto released it (2009) and bought my first few in 2013 at 15$!! From early 2013 the price was about $11 USD and at the end of 2017, $20,000. But they fell and recovered as the stock market does. But the 24-hour trading Volume today, in 2020 is is INSANE ($20,690,383,231) with an even crazier market cap of $209,783,036,693, which by the middle-end of next month should reach $210 billion, possibly sooner. Its just a really smart investment, buy a little over time. Some analysts are predicting that BTC could reach anywhere from $100k to $1,000,000 for BTC in the next few years. Im not sure exactly where i would name the price in 5 years, but know there is only a limited supply of BTC. They are mined (basically just means that the transactions and blocks on the ledger or blockchain are verified) by sophisticated pieces of hardware called ASIIC miners, or some even use GPU, and CPU in expensive computers. Although CPU mining can be very inefficient anymore as the mathematical calculations and problems the miners need to solve get more and more complicated over time. This, the limited supply, the increasing interest, usability, and need for blockchain technology all add the the idea of BTC reaching such incredibly high futures. Their is a total of 20,999,976 bitcoin and that is it. With a total of 18,517,418.75 in circulation. The last BTC is estimated to be 2140. Big difference from the 18.5M mined in 10 years, right? Thats because of the halving. Anyway, I’m sure you have heard some things about BTC, probably from the media, and if it was, it probably wasn’t good. You probably heard that people buy illegal dangerous stuff off of the “Darknet” and that its completely untraceable. Or that money can be laundered through BTC. But that is hardly partly true for BTC and other cryptocurrencies, and completely true for the USD. While the blockchain doesn’t include any personal information connected to wallets (unless you want it there, or you have the wallet through a service that makes you use personal information, which many services are doing), all transactions can still be tracked and seen by anyone who has an internet connection at https://www.blockchain.com. So if the identity of one of the wallet addresses is known, it would be easier to figure the other out. But for paper, money that cannot be said... completely untraceable, has been prone to money laundering since it’s inception, can be used to purchase various drugs—hookers, guns, dynamite, and even politicians... since its inception, without a trace. The reason not just bitcoin, but i think even more exciting, is just blockchain technology and a host of things that are coming with it. It can be used for tons of things, software and can be built directly into blockchains, they can hold and process data at enormous speeds, while being extremely, extremely secure. More secure in a lot ways than banks. There are tons of new cryptocurrency projects being started everyday. For the most part, all of these projects have some sort of token integrated, because its what powers, and processes the data. If people find the project interesting or a great idea you like you’ll be able to invest in it buy buying/selling, or holding the token/coin. When these projects gain enough traction by like-minded individuals, the coin gains a value. This value can then be exchanged for other crypto, or traded directly for Fiat currencies ($,€,₽,¥,£,₩). For some examples of how wonderful the community is, and reveal what the true nature of blockchain and crypto was founded on, ill list 3 of my favorite crypto projects of 2020 so far along with a little excerpt from the white paper or other:
  1. AIDCOIN: “allows websites to embed a widget into their website and accept donations in any cryptocurrency. Any donated crypto is transferred into AID token, which is also a stable coin. At first, this might seem like not such a good thing but the more I looked into it, the more I realized accepting a stable coin might actually make more sense for a charity as it reduces their risk exposure to volatility.”
  2. BRAVE BROWSER—Privacy Internet Browser: “As far as I’m concerned, keeping people safe and protecting their privacy and security is a noble endeavor. For far too long, giants like Google and Facebook have gotten away with unethical data practices with nothing more than a slap on the wrist. They have been able to spy on their users, abuse their data and use it for whatever purpose they deem fit. Brave Browser is looking to put an end to that through the most secure browser that exists on the market today.” Basically Brave takes on the responsibility of completely protecting privacy and from ads. As an added available option, brave allows you, to watch and look at sponsored ads while you browse. So basically just a stand-in for other browsers ads, but instead you make money WITH brave. You are awarded BAT (Basic Attention Token) for your service. BAT’s are currently at .21¢.
  3. Power Ledger: Last but not least. Power Ledger is probably one of my favorite projects that is actually making a real use-case out of crypto and blockchain. They are aiming to disrupt the energy sector with a heightened focus on renewable energy. Their software allows for three core things: 1. Energy Trading (if you have excess energy from your solar panels, for example, you can trade that to your neighbor through Power Ledger). 2. Environmental commodities trading (to help for the reliable tracking of renewable energy credits). 3. Renewable asset ownership (This will allow people who cannot afford their own renewable energy set-up to invest in fractional ownership). I honestly think Power Ledger is doing God’s work and wish them all the best.
As those projects above outlined, the basic principles behind pretty much every currency and upcoming project i have ever seen is, Trust, Sharing profit with the users who help make it into what it becomes, actual transparency, no central authority (due to decentralization), and lastly i believe it gives opportunity to those who are out if opportunity’s way. This is because it reaches so far, like into oppressive governments and 3rd work countries. Anyways, i hope to have given you a little insight during this read. Crypto has so much potential to fill and has already done so much. Looking forward to seeing where else all of this goes.

Why the 3070, 3080, and 3090 are going to spike in price.

Why the 3070, 3080, and 3090 are going to spike in price.
I was one of the lucky few to get a 3080 on release and I have stressed tested everything I can think of out of this card. It is absolutely a monstrosity. I happened upon an article saying the 3080 and 3090 have terrible MH/s(hashrate/mining rate for mining bitcoin). I decided to see what this card can do and happened upon some interesting data. So I decided to use Nicehash to test the GPU mining profitability(I'm sure its off by some margin but its a good start.) After running for a day and with the correct downclock I can keep my temperature stable. Increasing the power limit past 70 yield marginal hashrate at the expense of a significant amount of power(it becomes less profitable). With my current electric bill(around 11 cents per mwh) I make 2.20$-2.40$ a day after electric expense. A more sophisticated miner could make more with the right software(linux) and lower electric rate. Just wanted to share my opinion I could be wrong, let me know what you guys think.

Building an ASIC miner with FPGA chips or manufactured IC's available on the market

Hi again. I recently made a post on using Arduino to replace bitcoin miners and i realized how crazily stupid that decision would be seeming as a typical Arduino has a hash rate of around 50
Now I needed a new way to build an ASIC miner seeing as Arduinos are out of the question. The two possible methods I came up with/discovered was by using multiple FPGA chips to do the exact calculations needed.
The other is by using pre-manufactured IC's from older GPU's, buying them in bulk and building many GPU's that are built around those IC's
I have three questions:

  2. XLM: https://coinbase.com/earn/xlm/invite/0nb8vckp
Altogether there are 6 different lessons, each takes like 5-10 mins with a quiz at the end. Only 3 of them i will get rewarded for though. You will also get an extra $10 for each completed for my referral + $51 from all 6 quizzes and also another $120 if you get 4 people to do the quizzes. They are really quick, especially if already have an account. Also you can look up the answers for each one on google so you dont need to sit through them, be even quicker. Please complete the 3 i sent the links with to the end so we get 10$ reward extra. As soon as you finish they send you the coins into coin base account. Once they are in your account you can sell them instantly for $$, and transfer to your bank account, OR you can keep them on your account.

About Bitcoin mining in Egypt and GPUs

Hello,
Just wanted to make a post discussing this matter in Egypt. I hope someone from government also reads reddit.
I can understand logical reasons why Egypt would want to prohibit Bitcoin mining:
  1. Paying electricity at subsidized price and then selling Bitcoins for money means you're stealing the subsidy.
  2. Untraceable Bitcoin can be used for criminal activities or terrorist finance.
  3. Income from Bitcoin mining is not official and counts as income, so taxes are not being paid on it.
Since they suspect people who buy GPUs of doing this, I propose the following:
  1. Let people declare that they are mining Bitcoin and remove electrical subsidy from them (let them pay the highest electricity tier price). Let them also count the electricity as expenses to avoid double-taxing.
  2. Require that the wallets that receive the mining proceeds be made known to the government.
  3. Open a local Egyptian Bitcoin exchange and when mining bitcoins are sold for EGP, count the EGP as capital gains or income and make people pay taxes on them as such.
  4. Prohibit any transfer of those bitcoin between individuals and allow the only action to be done on them is keep them or sell them on a legitimate exchange which requires KYC/AML.
Instead of causing unnecessary headache for people who want to simply buy a GPU to play games by stopping or delaying all GPUs being imported, simply require that the imported GPUs be registered to the individual name (file automatically opened by customs without need of input from the importer), and set a limit for the number of graphics cards imported annually for individual use.
In addition, for people who are not registered as bitcoin miners (or doing high electricity load work), if there's an unnatural large increase in the electricity consumption suddenly that doesn't coincide with a legitimate reason (eg: summer time and start of use of Air Conditioners) and the increase goes beyond the level historically consumed by the residence, then you can suspect that they are mining bitcoin, and then you can then investigate them.
This way, both the government requirements can be satisfied and at the same time, people who just want to play games or do 3D work do not need to be unnecessarily harmed or impeded by regulations.
This post can be considered as an open letter to anyone from authorities.

Will there be any perfect timing?

I wanna build a new pc for myself, I don't play a lotta AAA titles but I only love racing games and a little RPG adventure type games and world. I liked NFS heat and forza and I wanna play them on a fairly lag free setting. Upon my research I thought Ryzen 2600 is the cpu for me but seeing the current situation everything is so much pricey I saw YT videos of 2600 for around 8k or less, but now it's over 12k and don't get started on GPU with the 1660 super costing 22k. I remember I wanted to build previous year or something but prices went up because of bitcoin miner buying GPU in bulk. I don't know I feel like prices can never be on a sweet spot. I think I would wait till the black Friday sales or something but will it make any difference here in India ?

Some sites to make extra money

Hello Fellow Redditors,
I am going to list some of my income sources. I will try to give as much information as I can.
Some details about me:I am u/abhiearns, I am currently studying. I want to create some sort of extra income sources. I have been trying to use beermoney as well as other passive income communities like passive_income, passiveincome to find some sites and sources that can work for me.
Enough with the details, Let start by listing some of my extra income sources.
Active Earning: So, I will start with sites on which you have to work actively and devote some serious hours to earn some extra income. These are some beermoney sites (include survey sites, and other such sites):

Passive Earning (No Initial Investments): These will list some of my passive earning sources, I am not listing my investments here because I think they deserve a separate section.Disclaimer: I have 2 laptops and an extra phone so I use all of them for earning, the payments may vary depending on the number and power of various computers.

Passive Earning (Investments Required): These are the sources which require some sort of initial investment. These sources can be risky and there are chances to lose money.

\** I am still trying other sites and apps. I will keep updating this post.*
These are some of the sources I use to earn, I highly recommend these. I won't say you will become a millionaire using these but still its little more than you had yesterday.

What do you guys think about the possibility of using lots of Arduinos to possibly replace expensive GPU's in bitcoin mining

I'm not sure what I'm talking about here too much but I'm pained to see expensive GPU's that the ultra-rich buy in the thousands and mine so much bitcoin.
My attempts of bitcoin mining with my PC were a failure because my 4GB GPU is not strong enough at all
Renting ASIC miners are mostly scams and I will not get much return
The one thing I'm forced to go to is to make my own GPU by my self and see if there is a possibility of working a with a general PC
As far as I'm aware this has never been done before and by no means do I expect an Arduino graphics card to be as strong as an early 2000's GPU but my thinking is: If I can buy the components for a cheap price then I can assemble an array of weak GPU's to become a far stronger one

If this whole idea is a flop and there is no real way to make money, I want to use this as a learning experience
So the first thing I want is a discussion on whether or not this could even achieve and become compatible with a PC. Whether it be a gaming PC or a raspberry Pi
The next is some sources on how GPU's work and their pinout and whatnot
I really don't expect any positive comments in this comment section since what I'm thinking of doing is near enough outrageous Xd

Effects of ETC moving to SHA3

0xBitcoin might experience some benefits from ETC's recent decision to go to SHA3.
For one thing, if ETC developers turn their minds toward SHA3 GPU mining, it seems likely that they'll be very interested in the optimization work already done by Lt. Tofu and Azlehria on Cosmic and Nabiki. But they may also spot additional optimizations, which could most likely be ported back into our miners!
For another thing, since ETC has a larger community than 0xBitcoin's, it's likely that they have people with very diverse skills. As they turn their minds toward SHA3 on FPGAs, I anticipate they will be choosing FPGA boards and writing software for them that probably will not be very difficult to alter to mine 0xBitcoin! Practically speaking, this may result in a new era of mining where a respectable hash rate can be achieved with much less electricity expense.
Basically, if people with EE or hardware development backgrounds in the ETC community pin down some of the variables involved, like development board, it seems very likely that we will be able to get FPGAs mining 0xBitcoin quickly.
We recently exchanged some nice words with Alex Tsankov. He revealed he is doing work that may allow merge mining ETC and other projects like 0xBitcoin. I don't know how good this will be, but it's hard for me to see how this could be a bad thing. It's really great to have nice words from Alex, because he seems like a very smart dude who is very open to collaboration.
I have joined the ETC Discord (edit: link removed for just-Reddit-things reasons, you'll have no trouble finding it) and will be watching for opportunities to tell people there about our miners if they don't know, and watching for info about their developments on SHA3 miners.

Dear Community,
we are not sure if this the right forum to purpose this one. We are working on a development for a new chain for African people to get more adaption within Africa Content. We're also working on a new coin for payment for people and help organization in Africa.
Since we are not looking for raising founds through ICO or selling coins. we came with the idea (DONATE YOUR HASHRATE FOR A DAY). Since we had a good reference from many users that nice hash would be the easiest way. We made an account for testing purpose.
The website will be coming up soon with all details. but for now if you are interested to share/donate your Hash rate and helping to raise Founds for a good purpose you are most welcome to use our mining Wallet into nice hash for 1 day (or more) every contribution is welcome. Also willing to hear from the community in here, if you have a proposed, ideas or assistance to share. They are more than welcome.
Kind Regards.
For Donation, you hash rate:
  1. install Nice hash miner on your System :[[link]2
  2. Allow it on Firewall
  3. Add our mining wallet address: 3N6XnMdXyF7SijfQeG7po7U5yRDqwKBuDf
  4. Benchmark and then mine and donate!
P.S. We will post a continuous update within this forum
P.S.S. you can also donate with sending BTC to the address above! (But that is actually not the purpose of the project Idea)
